FAQs

About our Sourdough

What makes your sourdough different?

Our bread is naturally fermented using a traditional sourdough starter rather than commercial yeast. Each loaf is slow-fermented for flavour, digestibility, and natural preservation — with no additives or preservatives.

Do you use preservatives or additives?

No. All products are made using real ingredients only — flour, water, salt, and time.

Why does sourdough taste slightly sour?

The natural fermentation process creates beneficial acids that give sourdough its signature flavour while helping extend shelf life naturally.

Is your bread handmade?

Yes — every loaf is mixed, shaped, and baked by hand in small batches.

Ingredients & Dietary Information

What ingredients do you use?

We use high-quality flour, filtered water, natural sourdough starter, salt, and carefully selected inclusions depending on the flavour.

Is your sourdough vegan?

Most breads are vegan unless otherwise stated (for example, cheese-based varieties).

Is sourdough gluten-free?

No. Our products contain wheat and gluten.

Do you cater for allergies?

We handle wheat, dairy, nuts, seeds, and other allergens in our kitchen. Products may contain traces even if not listed.

Storage & Freshness

How should I store my sourdough bread?

Store cut-side down on a board or in a breathable bag at room temperature. Avoid refrigeration as it dries the bread quickly.

How long will my bread last?

Because our bread contains no preservatives, it is best enjoyed within:

  • 2–3 days at room temperature

  • Up to 3 months frozen

Can I freeze sourdough?

Yes — slice before freezing for easy use. Toast directly from frozen.

Why does the crust soften after a day?

Natural moisture redistribution softens the crust. Refresh in a hot oven for 5–8 minutes to restore crispness.

Cookies & Baked Goods

How should I store cookies?

Keep cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.

How long do cookies stay fresh?
  • Cookies: 3–5 days

  • Stuffed or specialty cookies: best within 3 days

Can cookies be frozen?

Yes. Freeze baked cookies or cookie dough portions for up to 2 months.

Ordering & Pickups

How do I place an order?

Orders are placed through our website ordering system or via email or SMS.

Do you accept same-day orders?
  • Due to the long fermentation process, orders must be placed in advance unless extra stock is available.

What happens if I miss pickup?

Please contact us as soon as possible. Fresh products cannot always be held due to limited storage.

Our Process

Why do you sell limited quantities?

We bake in small batches to maintain quality, consistency, and freshness.

Why does each loaf look slightly different?

Sourdough is a living product influenced by temperature, humidity, and fermentation — natural variation is part of its charm.
